Cherry Blossoms and More!

What started out as a journey to see the beloved cherry blossoms in DC turned out to be a full adventurous day, that's for sure! We made it to DC in record time thanks to our race car driver (the g'pa of our cute subject). But deciding against the metro to park closer to the monuments, we ended up taking a wrong turn and ended up in Georgetown. We just happened to pass Georgetown Cupcake Co., the cupcake shoppe I have been dying to go to for a year now. So...we just had to stop! And I had a lemon cherry one. Mmmm... (I love getting lost in fun places!) An hour later, we finally found parking and were on our way to the blossoming cherry trees...with millions of other people. But again took a detour to play amongst the willow trees. We did make it to the cherry trees...eventually.... I'm thinking we need to do a day of shooting in Georgetown. Any takers?!?!

Katy & David...June 20, 2009...Williamsburg, Virginia

It was an honor to photograph Katy & David's wedding last month at the Wren Chapel in Williamsburg, Virginia. If you haven't been to the Wren Chapel at The College of William & Mary, you really have to take a tour! Katy & David...thanks for making the day fun for us and for the history lessons along the way! Shayna Walker from Williamsburg Wedding Design coordinated the wedding and The Flower Cupboard created the beautiful floral arrangements. The reception was held at the Alumni House at The College of William & Mary.

The Good Ole' Barn...

I fell in love with this old barn where we did the Anderson family portraits. When I see old barns and houses, I often wonder about the lives that were lived in that very spot. And the fact that the weathered textures and colors create great backgrounds is a plus!

Senior May Moments

For the month of May only, we are waiving senior portrait session fees! All rising seniors who book their portrait session before midnight on May 31st will not have to pay a session fee -- savings of $150! The session must take place by September 1st. The senior portrait session can be in studio or on location, or a combination of both. There's no limit to the number of wardrobe changes, so have fun with it!

The first rising senior to contact us to book a senior portrait session in response to this post will get a preview party at the studio! Bring up to 10 of your friends to preview your images and we'll provide the pizza or Chick-Fil-A -- your choice.

Sneak Peaks from Part 2

Snow White...

I did this shot in flipflops last night when it was 22 degrees.  When you spend most of your life in Southern California and make "snowmen" out of tumbleweeds (seriously!!), I guess you do crazy things when the snow falls.

Is he not the cutest little guy you've ever seen?  Of course, I think the studio floors look really nice, too, but I have to say that Mr. R is very cute, too!!
